A firefight turned into real living hell
Glende was trying to rescue Moss
Gonna save his brother no matter the cost

But mortars are evil have a will of their own
And one sent Glende on a hero flight home
I carried him to that bird and held his hand
And cried as that hawk left Afghanistan
