I am living proof there is some higher power

I can see now that everything’s connected
And in this higher power we are one

My family’s everything to me
The meaning of my life
I want to grow old enough to take care of my wife
The way she takes good care of me
Each and every day
I want to be there for her in my own special way
I’m a husband, I’m a father, I’m a soldier, and a friend
I’m a grandfather now and it’s all because of them

There is living proof for a higher power
All these things we get to share in life
Every little thing is even more connected
I see it in my children and my wife
I sing it and it sets my spirit free
The only thing they need from me is me
Sing it like a preacher sings a hymn
All I really need from them is them
